2020
April 2020
Cause of a high spread of the Coronavirus all the training facilities are closed. Even though the track is closed I still try to continue my training at alternative locations as much as possible. Sometimes you have to be creative but there is always a way to train!
February 2020
After a good training period in South Africa, I continued my training back in the Netherlands. The first training weeks of 2020 were tough, but I was able to make some good progress. This year my focus is entirely on the outdoor season, so I will not compete during the indoor national championships. In the coming weeks I will continue the training, prepare myself for the upcoming outdoor season and work towards my first competition of the season.

First good sprint session during my training camp in South Africa. The upcoming weeks I will make the first steps in preparing myself for the upcoming outdoor season.

The past couple trainings weeks were great! My body feels 100% again and I am back to doing block starts!

This photo was taking during the strength and conditioning training in Topsport Centre “ De Koog.” Together with my coaches I am working hard to get back in full shape again.

Sprint training in Porto Novo (Benin). During the Christmas periode I visited my dad his home country after 15 years. I stayed a total of two weeks. During these two weeks I trained with Benin’s national track and field selection.

With Justin Galtin former world champion on the 100m sprint. In the month of April I trained a whole month with my training group in Orlando (USA) under the guidance of the experienced American sprint coach Brooks Johnson. Justin Gatlin is one of the athletes who is trained by Brooks.
2017
August 2017
Since August 2016 I started training under Mthe collaboration with my current coach Marita Swart – van Zwol. Marita has been a very successful national coach for the Dutch athletics association. Furthermore she is also specialised in orthomolecular medicine which allows her to train me in a complete way.
2015

This is photo was taken right before my ankle surgery. Just like many other top athletes I also had to deal with injuries. After repeatedly injuring my ankle in 2014 , I underwent two ankle surgeries in 2015. Despite all the injuries, I never gave up on my dreams but worked harder to get back stronger.
